Pics: Return to Spruce Mountain, Hike with Stella 10/10/26

Hey, remember “Finding Shit with Stella” entry from a few years ago? Well, probably not—I barely do!

On this beautiful fall day in the Berkshires we went back to this out of the way spot, really close to Stella’s hotel, The Blue Vista Motor Lodge (with the amazing view!).

It’s in Monroe State Forest, and it starts at the same point of one of my favorite hikes: Dunbar Brook.

This is not well trodden, but gets easier in the fall. Nice little overlook, about 1.6 miles up, and we went straight back (can do a loop to make it longer), make it about 3.25 miles.
